yucca plant

I have just repotted my yucca plant and new green leaves are appearing. Something is eating these leaves and I have been over it with a fine tooth comb but can find nothing. The only thing I have noticed is that there are little bits of what looks like grit on the leaves. I remove these and the next day some more appear. Has anyone else had this problem. Help please.
