Paid cash for a pair of UGG boots which i think are fake how do i stand regarding a refund?
I won a pair of what i was lead to believe a pair of genuine UGG boots off Ebay. I asked the seller (who lives in the same area as me) if i was ok to collect to save on postage. I went and collected the boots but upon returning home and looking closer at the boots they are completely different to my friends who got hers from John Lewis. The soles are different, the label is different and so is the way they fasten. Ive emailed and asked if she has the original receipt and explained that they are totally different from my friends, if she says she doesnt have the receipt and doesnt offer a refund how will i stand with regards to getting my money back from her as i paid for them by cash and not by Paypal (thought i would save her the fee's involved)

Ugg is didtributed in the UK inder license and the various outlets are supploed with the various lines that they have re-ordered to precise specifications.
It is a similar thing to the Radley handbag range, you can get one style in Debs and another in John Lewis.
I suggest you look at the current range of Uggs at

If she doesn't refund you, eBay can do nothing but you can report her for selling goods 'not as described'.
Your only recourse is to get them verified as fake and sue her in the County Court using the Small Claims' Procedure if she is a private seller and not a trader.

If she is a trader, report her to the local trading standards office too.

I thought that they wouldnt be interested as she is a private seller. She has 100% feedback but looks mainly through buying. Im normally careful on Ebay but let my guard down re Paypal this time thinking i could save her some fees only to be sold fake goods by her. I suppose at least if she doesnt answer my email i can always go round again and see her in person.
Yeh i did unfortunately :-((((((((((
As i say i will give her the benefit of the doubt it may just be as much a surprise to her. I know if i were selling fake goods and someone asked to pick them up in person i certainly wouldnt want someone coming to my house lol.
Hopefully i'll get my money back and wont have to go down the avenue of leaving negative feedback and persuing it further :-)

Have you not read what i have put on here. I have no intention what-so-ever of accusing her and that is why i have asked for the receipt. Plus the fact i do not expect to pay the amount of money that i did for them to be fake. If it was mentioned that they were fake then fine that would be my doing if i chose to buy them but as i was sold them as being genuine then yes i do have a problem with it. I also know that there are many different types of UGG boots out there but i also know now by looking on sites that i have been given links to that there is an extremely large amount of extremely good fake boots out there, that said i am still not prepared to have paid what i have for fake boots. Again for the record i will not be accusing her at all as my last post said she may be as much in the dark as i was!!!!!!!!
