He was created by Walt Disney after hearing Clarence Nash doing his "duck" voice.Disney wanted a character that could portray some of the more negative character traits that Mickey Mouse didn't have (especially a quick temper).

Donald's full name is Donald Fauntleroy Duck.

Donald Duck is the mascot for the University of Oregon.

Donald was voiced by Clarence "Ducky" Nash from 1934 to 1983 and thereafter by Tony Anselmo.
