Does anyone know what figures would be a meter reading? gas or electric, i can't work it out, I have 2354.16 off the electric and either 607889 or 313.693 off the gas, if I was a meter reader i would have a flat cap but npower have emailed for one and so they must assume I;ve changed jobs

Neither figure you quote for gas looks right to me. First seems far too large and I have never seen a meter that included decimal points. How sure are you of these figures?

I can't do that cos the meter cupboard is outside and it's dark plus my cameraphone doean't have a memory card in to transfer : ( It's a digital electric and gas meter I know that much : )

I have looked at the npower website and under their frequently asked questions it has 'How to read your meter' and it says: 'Read your meter........' DOH

I don't understand why you have two readings for gas, unless there is a facility to reset one to zero after a reading has been taken.
Can you see what the previous reading was from your last bill?

Does your last bill show the last reading?

That would give you a strong hint what it should be like.

ahh yes, I have online bills, I'll sign in and look, they are always too flippin complicated though i never read them!

If your meters are outside tell them to come and read it. They will be asking you to pump it out of the sea next.
