Overflow problem
Has anyone out there had problems with the new toilet cisterns where the overflow goes straight into the pan and not through a pipe outside. An elderly friend of mine had a water bill for six months for over £300. The reason for this was apparently her toilet was leaking but there was no noise and the water could not be seen leaking into the pan. The water board was not sympathic and still requires the money. My neighbour incidently is 91 years old. Is there an easy way to detect if you have this problem. My new toilet cistern has this type of overflow as do some of my neighbours. As we are on water meters this has caused us some worry. Has anyone else had this problem, if so I would love to hear what happened. Thanks in advance.
