bleeding in pregnancy is not uncommon, however you are very early on (ie only 1 weeks after your period would be due) and misscarriages are not uncommon either at this stage in pregnancy. I think all you can do is wait and see if the bleeding continues. I'm not entirely sure what they would do at a and e if you went there - apart from make you sit there for hours. If you are having a miscarriage, the bleeding is unlikely to be catastrophic (Being so early on) more like a heavy period, or even a normal period. They can't do a pg test as it wont show anything meaninful, and it's too early to see anything on a scan (even if they had one). If you start bleeding extremely heavily then go but otherwise stay at home

just like to add that i had a mc 6 weeks ago and when i started bleeding i rang early pregnancy unit who then told me to go to A&E i only waited half an hour and they took bloods and took swabs i got my results back in an hour but cos it was the weekend they sent my report to early pregnancy who then rang me on the monday and had more bloods done and agin got results in an hour
i think if you wait till you see a GP all the waiting will make your stress levels worse i found the hospital very quick and knew what was happening wher as if you go to gp you then have to try and get appointment for a blood test which are normally booked up for that week then you would have to wait 2 days for results and to me thats a long drawn out process when you are scared an anxious
