Lassa fever and Marburg are rare enough too. What has happened to TB in this country? - it used to be endemic. Poliomyelitis? In the world, few people have been vaccinated for Variola, but it has disappeared entirely

As jomifl has implied, you must be more specific in order to seek help here. What aspect of microbiology appeals to you most? Avoid research topics on subjects you detest. Look for a topic that really interests you so that the research is pleasant rather than a chore.
