reducing and non reducing sugar
why does the colour of a reducing sugar intensify when it is tested with the test for non-reducing sugars ??
what i mean is I tested a reducing sugar with benedicts solution and it turned orange. but when i tested the same sugar with the test for non-reducing sugar....HCl then NaHCO3 then benedicts reagent it turned red.....what does this mean??
