Some nutritional info on a packet of custard powder

Per 100 g as sold per 167g serving as prepared

Energy 712kj / 405 kcal 428 kj / 101 kcal

Carbohydrate 79.6 g 19.9 g
of which sugars 51.1g 12.8

fat 7.8g 2.0g
of which saturates 5.8g 1.5g

Why are the figures on the right hand side a lot
lower for the prepared ( when water is added to the powder ) ?

Because only 25g of the 167g prepared sample is powder, the rest of the weight is water?
I'm assuming the 100g makes enough to serve four and the prepared figure is about 25% of the "as sold".
I'm rubbish at maths though.
You may well be rubbish at maths, but you're spot in this time :)

one 167g serving will be made up of approx 25g of custard powder and 142g (or 142 millilitres) of water (and water has no nutritional value)

Meaning that the mix would be about 1 part powder for 6 parts water
And 142 millilitres is 1/4 of a pint. (UK)
