If I throw a lit cigarrette into a bucket of ice would the heat from the cig melt a small bit of the ice first or would the moisture extinguish the cig first?

The cigarette would melt a small amount of ice. The resultant liquid would then extinguish the cigarette.

Thanks. I've spent about 30 minutes thinking that over.
Just like......If you tipped a cup of hot water into a bucket of cold water, would the cold water cool the hot water or would the hot water heat the cold water?
Go out in the garden and try it, evian!
Having smoked for over 30 years until I gave up ten years ago that is a question I can answer through experience. When you throw a burning cigarette onto ice or snow it does melt a small amount of water which then extinguishes the tobacco. It takes about 15 seconds to do so.
Yes, the fag end would melt a little bit of ice and then go out. Why don't you try it and see?
