Hi does anyone know the statistics of what the survival rates are during a cardiac when using a defibrillator during CPR in comparrison to CPR alone? If you have a web link to this information I would be very grateful. Thank you in advance

OK the resussitation council report figures as high as 75% with a drop of 10% with every minute before an AED is available

I might be able to find one - I've just done a defrib course

I think the figures are scary - something like 2% CPR and 40% CPR + AED
OK the resussitation council report figures as high as 75% with a drop of 10% with every minute before an AED is available

It depends where it`s used. On aircraft, the sucess rate is only about 6% but then the circumstances are unique.
