I think it must be my age, I used to be a great muti tasker, but now I seem to start everywhere and finish nowhere, I used to be able to feed the baby, cook the dinner and darn the socks all at the same time, but now I find the bed half made, the hoovering half done and the forms I started filling in abandoned under a pile of ironing that I started the day before, am I alone in this or is anyone else out there as bad?

Absolutely, Cecil, I can relate to all of those things. I guess we all start to slow down once we get past 80!!

Yes thats me too, was only thinking the other day how much I could get through in a morning, now its a real mountainous task just to pull the quilt up and put dishes in the dishwasher, but if Im honest I was always OCD about cleaning and now I think how many hours I wasted and I now wish I was always like I am now, really laid back..hubby is now the one that is paranoid lol .......
Good - I'm not the only one!

what was that about 80? I'm nowhere near that yet, oh lor what will become of me by that age, I shall be static by then at this rate, good to know I arent alone though.
I was never a great multi tasker. In fact I had trouble being a single tasker. But yes, I do find it more difficult to get going with stuff now I'm older. Most of the time I am berating myself for what wasn't done rather than feeling good about what I did accomplish. C'est la vie.
It's the booze.
Sorry Cecil, my previous comment was rather tongue in cheek!
I have lots unfinished, half a bottle of red, a little white, a few cans of Stella and so on.
definitely me..x

Hopkirk.....the booze might help..whizz round, and round, and round in no
time!! ;o)
Im 68 today, and you have described me to a t as well!!!!!!!
Maybe we should blame it on the rotten weather.
Happy Birthday Beattie. ;-)

My cats will be 7 on the 29th of June and I will be 49 this year - a household of grumpy middle aged persons.
Thank you Wolf , for the birthday greetings :)
I have always set myself targets to do each day, and always reached them.
I'm definately slowing down it takes me ages to get ready to go out and that's just to the shops. I used to multitask all the time at home, meal on the table etc after working full time too. Now I can't make my mind up what to have for meals. I do the chores but I tend to forget where I leave the duster and spray polish, searched for some hankies and teatowels I'd washed only to see them neatly folded outside on the garden bench (in the pouring rain).
I have misplaced my dusting brush (attachment to hoover) searched
everywhere, in fridge, under bed, in drawers, in bathroom, in cats food bin....
no idea. It's not as though I live in Buck House.
I'm way worse. I'm blaming my medical condition but if I am really honest it's just tardiness.
I find that if I don't wear my specs all looks good!....no dust!......if I wear them them, not good, so I just don't wear them!.................lol.......sick of housework!......being doing it for too many year, there's more to life!.....lol...........
It happens to us all Cecil, they call it 'The change'

Pour another tea pass the biccy's...
