Laser pens shone at aircrafts
0 Answers
I didn't really know where to put this so apologies if it's I the wrong place.
Anyway, I heard today that the amount of idiots shining laser pens at aircrafts is increasing. Ridiculous I know. Not only can it damage the pilots eyes it can put the safety of passengers at risk too.
I'm flying out somewhere soon and I'm already uneasy about flying and this hasn't helped.
Justout of curiosity, do pilots get trained to deal with stuff like this??
How dangerous is it for the safe navigation of the plane whilst a laser is being shone in someone's eyes. My understanding is that it would temporarily blind them whilst it's being shone, therefore resulting in danger for the passengers and crew for that time. Or can you still see/ fly safely whilst it's being shone?
Many thanks
