Mm Links January 2013 Week 2 – New Players Always Welcome.

G’day folks. This is Queen Christiania inviting you all to have a go at guessing the MM Links, this time based on the Australian section of the Big Trip that Manxiemo and I went on earlier in the year. Rules are in a separate posting below.
Our first ports of call were Sydney and the Blue Mountains. We loved the laconic Aussie humour and also their willingness to help us “two old birds”, (as one coach driver called us), with luggage-carrying and other problems. Sydney was interesting but very wet, with the subway flooding at one point, so hardly surprising that the Oceanarium we visited housed the Wobbegong Shark and other strange species. The Blue Mountains were spectacular, especially Govett’s Leap, and the Katoomba and Wentworth Falls, not to mention Scenic World with its scary Cableway.
Later in our tour we spent time in Far North Queensland, and fell in love with the ancient, subtropical rainforest. We were bowled over by the spectacular flora and fauna, and I had the experience of a lifetime, snorkelling on the Outer Barrier Reef …. plus much, much more.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.According to normal practice, for the everyday running of MM, I shall follow this rule on word length, in that each of my pre-selected link words contains at least four letters and at most eight letters. Stray outside this range and you will be wasting one of your attempts!
Each of the selected link words may go in front of, or behind my challenge word to make a new longer word or to make a well-known phrase or saying. The combination will never be a person's name.
The competition will officially close on Sunday Evening at 7.00pm, when gen2 will declare my pre-selected words and then apply the same rules for awarding points that have been applied during all MM Link Games in the past. My set of four words to have their links predicted should appear below at 9.00am.
