Grant Snapps
You may not have heard of him but he is Chairman of the Conservative Party. He also seems to have been doing a lot of briefing to the Daily Telegraph who quote him twice in two different lead stories. He seems to be a potential gaffe merchant judging from the quotes.
// Grant Shapps, the Conservative Party chairman, has defended the Government’s decision to withdraw housing benefit for spare rooms by saying that his children are forced to share a bedroom. //
Is that the best defence of the policy he can come up with. He doesn't have a spare room, so people on benefits must not have one. The nasty party returns (if it ever went away).
In another story about replacing George Osborne, Snapps says...
// In a frank assessment, he also said the Tories’ chances of winning an overall majority at the next election were no more than “50-50”. //
OK, as Party Chairman he has to talk up their prospects. But does any believe there is a 50-50 chance of the Tories winning the election. Better to say nothing at all than say something so stupid.
He seems like an accident waiting to happen. Anyone agree with him?

// Grant Shapps, the Conservative party chairman, posed as a "multimillion-dollar web marketer" named Michael Green who spoke to reveal the secrets of his trade at a $3,000-a-head internet conference in Las Vegas while he was the Tory party candidate for Welwyn Hatfield.
The pictorial evidence of his double life, revealed online by a fellow conference speaker, will pile pressure on Shapps to explain his links to a network of websites which have been blocked by Google for breaching its rules on copyright infringement and encouraging customers to plagiarise content. //

Once again Gromit has mislead with his left-wing views, I don't know where he got his so called Telegraph copy and paste clip from, but here is the genuine Telegraph report.
/// Mr Shapps described the changes as a “common-sense reform”. ///
/// “It is wrong to leave people out in the cold with effectively no roof over their heads because the taxpayer is paying for rooms which aren't in use," he told Sky News. ///
/// "It's just a common-sense reform which in the end will help house more people." ///
/// Mr Shapps, the MP for Welwyn Hatfield, added: “People share rooms quite commonly - my boys share a room." ///

And the intro (above the picture) is what I posted....
// Grant Shapps, the Conservative Party chairman, has defended the Government’s decision to withdraw housing benefit for spare rooms by saying that his children are forced to share a bedroom. //
I have misled no one. My lack of a link is because the Daily Telegraph now has a paywall.

And you definitely know do you Gromit, or is yours also just speculation?
So before you also say something stupid, perhaps you would be wise to 'hold your horses' there's a few furlongs to go before we reach the finishing post..
