here's an insteresting question: there are some black and blue socks in a drawer and their quantity rate is 4:5. the room is too dark to tell the color of the socks. how many socks do u have to pick to make sure that a pair of same color socks?

3. Let's assume the first is black. The second can be black too, but it also has a 1 in 2 chance of being blue. The third sock must be either black or blue, therefore you have a pair.
