Hi I am looking to find out the cubic measurement of 2.90 metres x 3.15 metres? is the nswer less than 50 cubic metres?? all to do with building regs, any info gladly received.
Jack the hat,it is for building regs for a conservatory on our survey.all they have given us is the size of the conservatory 2.90mts x 3.15 mtrs.and the solicitor wants to know if the conservatory exceeds 50 cubic metres.
Since the conservatory is almost certainly not a cuboid and the volume may be critical can you let us know the actual shape and relevant dimensions such as length, width, wall height(s), roof peak height?
If those figures are the maximum figures for the length and width then so long as the highest point of the conservatory is less than 5.5 metres above the floor (which it almost certainly will be) then the volume will definitely be less than 50m³.
Because there are only two meters being multiplied, so it would be square meters and not cubic meters.
So, 2.90 meters * 3.15 meters = 9.135 square meters.
that is a square measurement of around 10 m2
and so the volume would only exceed 50 sq metres if the height ( or third measurement ) were longer (or higher than ) 5m or fifteen feeet or thereabouts.
