Baxi Boiler Domestic Hot Water Fault
3 Answers
Domestic hot water has suddenly stopped working on my two year old Baxi HE combo gas fired boiler. CH works fine.
Pressure is 1.5.
There is a sensor deep in the works with two thin green wires attached. It has been suggested that this might be faulty (after two years and not regularly used--?)
Any ideas ,Guys?
Looks very straightforward diy job.
any other possibilities?
Thanks guys.

You say it's not been regularly used. That would suggest a common fault where the diverter valve has stuck on the heating side through lack of use.
At a push, you could try tapping it to free it up, or maybe there's a lever for manual operation.
The valve is actuated from sensors which may have become faulty.
The electric motor that operates the valve may have failed.
The PCB (circuit board) supplies the motor with power. This may have failed.
Many things could be the cause of this. The only proper solution is to have it checked professionally.
