.... took the dogs out earlier and was greeted with a lovely red sky as the sun was going down.
I've checked the weather forecast for tomorrow and apparently here (East Lancs) it's gonna hiss down.
Now I know that there is some scientific reasoning behind this saying, as when the sun sets in the west, a red sky indicates that there is a high pressure approaching, so it should be dry and pleasant the following day.
Well ..... we'll see tomorrow who is right .... the weather forecasters with all their modern equipment, or some old saying, that was even mentioned in the bible ..... place your bets .......
We had a lovely red sky last night and it was sunny and warm today washing dried no rain although it was forecast. Tonight it was cloudy so I expect it will rain ---as forecast.
To be fair to the saying itself, it only really applies to weather systems moving in from the west.
I've just watched the weather again ... and it looks like the rain is pushing in from the east .... so even though I've seen a lovely red sky at night .... it looks like rain is def heading my way :(
Yea B00 ... that's what I'm getting at - the red sky a night implies that it's gonna be nice tomorrow .... but the weather forecast says differently :(
