Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Struggling with this. Identity of island (Q1) fairly evident, though 129,000 acres rather than stated 124,000, but second lighthouse ('more a navigation beacon') 20 feet high (Q2) said to be 12 miles SE of a neolithic village excavated by a storm in 1850 seems to take us out to sea. Any thoughts?

The village seems to be Skara Brae in the Orkneys. Don't know if that's any help

Well thanks - the village is surely correct, but the directions therefrom take us South East - that is out to sea, rather then West to the suggested Barrel of Butter, which may be the right answer if there has been a printing error. I think I will wait for a bit to see if anyone else has any thoughts.
