Blackening Out A Rubber Logo

Hi, most random question ever sorry.

I've just bought a jacket and I hate wearing things with obvious logos. This has a circle logo on the arm which is black but with 'sticky-uppy' part which is in white (it's Barbour's lighthouse motif). I've tried to black it out using permanent marker but it just seems to sink in. How can I blacken it out please? Using the marker has made it a little more grey, to be fair, but it's still obvious.

Erm...so,why did you buy it?

The jacket is lovely and fitted really nice, I don't but things that don't. It's just one of those fairly bog standard looking ones with a diamond pattern. The logo won't kill me, but I would like to make it less obvious if I can.
Can you carefully cut off the sticking-out white part, with a Stanley knife.
Or pick the rubber circle off, or sew a patch over it?

'I don't buy things that don't' ' sorry mis-spelling

Nah, just want to darken the white rubber sticky-out part. Not do detailed removals lol
Or a black fabric pen, that people use to write their name on their clothes.

I'll try that thanks :)
Not all permanent markers are created equal.

Try it with a good quality one.
You could try shoe-dye.
Turn it inside-out ;-)
