How Did They Predict The Weather In The Recent Past?
I was watching the weather on BBC 1 today, and they were talking about the weather that was coming in over the Atlantic.
I assume with GPS, satellites, and other modern inventions it is now easier to see the weather that is coming our way.
But how did they do it say 50 or more years ago?
For example I know the weather predictions were very important leading up to D Day in 1944, but how did they know what weather was on it way back then?
