For an unknown reason my hair has become incredibly static.

There have been no changes to floor surfaces, clothing, footwear, shampoo or conditioner.

Any thoughts as to why my hair is so unruly presently?

Dry air? If only, though to be fair it changes between drizzle and mizzle to sun and freakin' cold.

The air can be cold and dry. Dry air is the reason for static nothing to do with temperature it is the humidity that counts. The lowest humidity in the world is in the Antarctic , it is so cold all the moisture freezes out as frost so there is no moisture left in the air.
