I've got news for you dear, Chelsea is in England, but that doesn't mean that at the Chelsea flower show, we don't see just 'English' Gardens but also 'Italian Gardens' 'Japanese Gardens' etc.

But I must admit we don't see many 'African Gardens' or 'Indian Gardens' perhaps it is because not many in those countries are as fond of gardening as we the English and others are?

Yes I have as a matter of fact, but that is the BBC for you, although he seems a pleasant enough fellow, I wouldn't trust him though to give me a fair price.

But your point about gardens in India might be a little off. I've been there and can confirm that they have some of the most beautiful gardens in the world.

Can't tell you about Africa - because that's a continent with many different countries each with a different climate.

I think Mrs Sargeant is just having a 'dig' at white gardeners.

I don't know what she is moaning about, after all we grow blackberries, blackcurrants and I believe even black orchids.
