Samsung Core Mobile
4 Answers
I have a Samsung Galaxy core mobile registered with Vodaphone, I dont actually use the phone for calling much ,just a few texts so I usually put a fiver on it and that will last along time.I use it for Facebook and the internet more than anything.A few days ago I received a text saying I had used data ,so they charged me , I ptu another fiver on it and that has been swallowed up in a couple of days ,also with another text from them.
I have gone into the settings and the data for my apps were all turned on, so i have turned them off again, why would they turn themselves on ? I need to put more credit on now ,but am scared it will all disappear again, what is the best thing to do.

Easiest thing to do, would be to turn your mobile data off and only turn it on when you need to connect to the internet, when you're using facebook, etc. I'm fairly sure that the apps on your phone run continuously in the background and connect to the internet whenever they want. I'm fairly sure that the apps on your phone run continuously in the background and connect to the internet whenever they want. If you turn your mobile data off, this will prevent them trying to update and connect to the internet without your permission.
Do you have Wi-Fi at home that your phone could connect to?? This will help keep your data usage down .....

Thank you Gizmonster, yes wi-fi on at home thats mainly when I am using the phone, so I know it wont cost me. It seems when I go out and take phone as a precaution in the car that is when it is using the data, have turned apps data off, I just wondered why it had happened now, when previously it had been okay.
