If you have a budget in mind we could recommend one for you - I`d only suggest you avoid Lenovo as they are a bit flimsy with poor backup and Acer as they can be fussy and restrictive.
Those 'social' laptops are no good at all for playing games and have very small drives and not much RAM.
They are fine for people who just want to access social media such as FaceBook and Twitter and email.
An 'everyday' laptop does those things but are more powerful (more RAM), have large hard drives for storage and better screens and processors.

It seems to me that your most important considerations before purchase are:
size of screen - big or small? Screen size usually means weight, so the bigger the screen the heavier it will be to carry around
battery life - will you be using it away from the mains much? If so, you need a laptop with a long battery life
