Been To The Cemetery Today.....

...to put some flowers on my mates' grave. I knew him from being in infant school. We always kept in touch after leaving school. When we were 14 (1962) we said we would go to Devon together and watch the total eclipse in 1999. We planned it all and were looking forward to it when he had a heart attack and died on July 16th, three weeks before we were due to go. I was devastated and couldn't believe it. I still miss him a lot. I have to admit that as I watched the eclipse on August 4th 1999, I shed a little tear, thinking of him. RIP Jack. See you on the other side of the starlight.

I think folk remember others in their own way. For some the location is important, to be where the remembered lie focuses the mind. For others, who believe the person they knew isn't there, just the body they occupied, they may find quiet contemplation elsewhere suits them better.
