Prochlorperazine Vision Problems
29 Answers
I posted a couple of weeks ago, that I was experiencing dizzy spells (and nausea when they occurred), Yesterday I finally got it together to visit the GP., who seemed to think that I might have labyrinthitis and prescribed prochlorperazine 5mg tabs to be taken as required. I took one about 2hrs ago and now I'm getting a flashing sensation across my vision when I try to read anything. It says in the info that blurd vision might be a side effect but this is like parts of my vision is obliterated by flashing (its taken me ages just to write this) and theres a kind of 'whirling' sensation in the corner of my left eye. Its very disorientating.
Anyone else experienced this? Don't think i'll be taking anymore of these.

GP did say that my blood pressure was also slightly high (got go back in 2 weeks to get it checked again with the nurse) Could that have anything to do with dizziness and/or vision probs (I know that LOW blood pressure can cause dizziness but never heard of HIGH blood pressure causing it.
From what you have said nailit, I am not sure whether you are suffering from dizziness or unsteadiness (fainting) and these can be difficult to differentiate at times, without some time spending with the patient.
Both high BP and low BP can have an effect on the system producing the eye symptoms that you have described.
