Cilest Birth Control Pill And Initial Breakout

Hiya everyone,

I've just started taking a birth control pill called 'Cilest' (generic name is 'Cilique')and I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced an initial breakout when starting it and if so how long did it last? As it has given me quite a lot of spots (not any massive cysts) but just sore spots on my forehead, jawline and chin. My skin was bad before going on any birth control and this pill previously flattened the big spots on my cheeks, but now it just seems to be breaking me out in other places and I'm wondering if it will stop if I stick to it. Sorry I don't know about that pill, but there used to be one called Dianette which was prescribed particularly for women with problem skin like spots and acne.

Your pill contains bot oestrogen and progesterone and the skin side effects are well recognised.
No big deal at the moment, but if it continues and causes you concern, then see your GP to change the pill content.
