What do you guys do for Xmas ? What I mean is, do you send each other Xmas cards, with robins on, or ones with snowy Dickensian scenes ?

Do you put up Xmas trees, and put fake reindeer on your front lawns, etc, etc ?

Why, in a advanced country, where there is universal access to education, are there enough people to cover the costs of this event ?

Anyway, it is flat. It's only localised curved space that makes it look round.

Stuff the pommy Christmas cards Mikey.

We party hard, lot's of great food, lot's of ***, hangovers to follow.

We dress kangaroos as reindeer's, roast the odd possum or two, shove Santa into the tray of a FJ holden ute, then see if we can dump him out driving flat out over a Mulga stump.

Good thing Oz is the last country Santa visits, he goes home hungover with a smile on his face but takes a year to recuperate.

There are lot of "northern hemisphere" Christmas cards available here.
There are a lot of "Aussie themed" ones too.

Yes Christmas trees are the norm.

I guess the only difference deep down maybe what we eat on the day.
Hot meals are dropping out of favour, lot's of cold cuts, seafood and salads seem to be the "in thing" these days.
