Mould After Water Leak?
5 Answers
Yesterday i found that my riser from the main, which is in my downstairs loo, has been leaking and there was quite a lot of wetness in the boxing in around the pipes. Its fixed now. I am heating and ventilating the room and its drying out nicely. Once its completely dry then I will look at redecoration. I am not in any rush, Okay now the question.... There is no smell of rot and no soft bits of boxing or floorboards that I can find but should I be treating the area with any kind of antifungal treatment now as a preventative?...and if so then what?
many thanks

You could apply some wood preservative to the surround, but I wouldn't think you'd need any more than that. It just needs time to thoroughly dry out.
