Our fridge is freezing
The fridge section of our upright 50/50 fridge/freezer has started freezing stuff almost as much as the freezer section. We tried adjusting the internal thermostat as an experiment, but that sent temperatures plunging to minus17C. It's currently set to it's warmest setting, but the bacon still comes out covered in ice. Anyone know what sends a fridge into overdrive? I suspect it's new fridge time, but I'd still like to know why.......
It's quite an old thing, Bejam's the make, and it's not auto-defrost.

I don't know this fridge by name or detail but often on split fridges the thermostat controls the freezer section and the cold air gets down to the fridge part though a vent or duct or something like that. first check the temperature of the freezer, if it is normal at -18 to -20 ish then the thermostat is probably OK and the vent or duct which regulates the cold air down to the fridge is stuck or broken in the full open postion. If the freezer is way below that value then the thermostat is faulty and requires a new one. see this Site for part for Bejam stuff.
I can't help you more because I can't see inside your fridge from here (the angle is wrong and not enough light)
