Why would you want to? LED bulbs at 100watt equivalent give a better light, cost a fraction to run and may never need replacing.

I dont want eu halogen as they dont fit my 40y light holders. I need the old sort
I was about to say exactly the same as rowan.....LED is the way to go.

Last 100W bulb I bought was for an Uplighter, LED, 100w output
43W consumption, from Tesco.

Rowan, I need to stick them in with blue tack coz theyre loose
^^^in which case, they should be replaced!
13W LED bulbs are available in the same shape and size as 100W tungsten bulbs were (which are now illegal to manufacture or import within the EU anyway).

If the light fitting is that bad for heaven's sake get it changed, it's a fifteen minute job.

viewed youtube vid to change holder (mine isnt broken). change could cost £20+ for petrol & tools required :(

Last time I had someone do it they charged £15 plus the cost of the fitting which was about 2.50
