Un Global Compact On Migration

Full name Global Pact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration". It's essential point is the assertion of migration as a human right.

Have any of you guys seen this piece of news? Has it been discussed anywhere? I haven't seen anything and I can't find a thread on AB under key words migrant/migration.

This is the UN migration agency (IOM - the International Organization for Migration) on the compact:

Apparently there's going to be a beano in Marrakesh next month at which most UN members will sign up to the compact. Do we know Theresa ("End of free movement - read my lips - no new taxes") May's position on the compact?

Sounds ridiculous to me (no, not read the supplied links).

Any highly debatable right to roam can not trump a nation's right to control what goes on within it's borders. You can't work & sacrifice for a better nation only for the external masses to think, "That's nice, I'm grabbing some of that for myself, now the results of their endevours are coming to fruition", and ruining it all.
