Which is worse for you, smoking 20 cigarettes a day or smoking 20 roll-ups a day?

Filters make the real difference, along with the strength of the tobacco.

So it depends - generally roll-ups for the reason above.

The question is a little loaded though and you could equally ask which is unhealthier - working in a mine or an asbestos factory 50 years ago

As they'll both probably kill you with lung cancer I guess the only difference is that you may die with marginally more money in the bank by saving and rolling your own.

Tobacco companies tend to add many fairly noxious chemicals to their cigarettes to improve taste/keep them lit etc etc so I (now an ex smoker) always assumed "natural" smoking ie with roll ups had to better for you. Obviously smoking nothing at all is best :-)
