Proton is the name given to a stable, positively charged sub-atomic particle, found in atomic nuclei in numbers equal to its atomic number.
Up quark is the name given to a stable, positively charged elementary particle, found in atomic nuclei in numbers that are multiples of its atomic number.
Some more about that other stuff that Hamish has alerted us to:
Positrons are not typically found in nature since there are highly attracted to electrons where upon contact, both are annihilated to from a pair of gamma ray like photons, (mass to energy). Positron anti-particles are produced through the decay of certain artificially created (by particle accelerators) radioactive isotopes. The unstable property of positrons to annihilate with electrons makes them useful in PET (Positron Emission Tomography) Scanners for seeing inside the human body.
