Had A Lovely Evening Tonight.

It was granddaughters 18th birthday. We went up to the house, there was a huge pagoda with a heater in the roof. There was 15 of us. daughter & co at one table. OH and me at another. Best friends from round the corner at another. I did have hugs from family that I have really missed. We had an enormous Indian takeaway. Never seen so many dishes. It was wonderful.
Daughter had made a brilliant cake, lemon drizzle one half caramel for the other. All covered in icing and smarties and all kinds of sweetly things. Lots of candles and sparklers too.
Lovely evening but got a bit cold around tenish in spite of coats and blankets.

Do envy you, Caran. Haven’t seen my children, grandchildren or any UK family since last year. Lots of visits to us cancelled.

Fine and happy thanks, Caran. Just waiting for UK to be on the green list so the children can visit. Things change so quickly though. Good that you celebrated before your new rules....x
