Hi all....I'm Wondering if like me, anyone else has seen a cluster of lights high in the eastern night sky, the lights are in a tight group, stationary, and seem to be too bright and and to close to earth to be stars. Could this be a satellite, or some kind of space junk? I wanted to post on here to see if anyone can kindly give me any more information about this. All replies gratefully received. HAMMEROFTHOR

I noticed a very bright star towards the E a few nights ago and it turned out to be Venus. The website I've linked has a thing for looking at the night sky from whichever direction you choose. If you touch towards the top of the sky viewer thing you can go from N to W, up and down etc as you are looking out of your window.

Ive got skyviewlite app. Point iPad or smartphone it’s installed on in any direction, and it will identify anything in the day or night sky. Even things below horizon.
It could be Pleaides (seven sisters), depending on what time of night. It's an autumn/winter constellation and is usually easy to find by following the line of Orion's belt upwards. That's not easy at the moment as Orion doesn't appear until later in the autumn.
