loudickson71, Thanks; its nice to know I'm not alone in my awareness of this ever present threat and growing trend and that some people of science see the danger is real enough to alert the world of its potential hazards. Eventually we will have to deal with the long term effects of centuries of evading the realities of the poisoning effect that faith has on reason and the destructive consequences of guilt based moral precepts. It would be nice to live long enough to see the beginnings of a new renaissance where people the world over found meaning and purpose in living to achieve their potential for happiness in the one life we have here on Earth. But until then find comfort in pleasant dreams and hold onto the hope that reason will eventually prevail. I believe it will, not because I have faith in reason, but because the alternative is not worthy of consideration.
