I was taking off out of Hong Kong a few years ago and we were struck by lightning. I`ve been struck many times but this time it was so weird. It was like looking at one of those films where a nuclear bomb has gone off. There was a brilliant white light and although it was blinding, you could make out the silhouettes of the people. I have heard bangs before when were struck but this time it was silent and momentarily blinding.
