I suspect there is also a fair bit of 'save my own skin' going on there too!

Doesn't surprise me one iota.

Maybe this is the start of a major defection to the Tories. The SNP after all were originally nicknamed the Tartan Tories.

The SNP well is running dry, time to move on to new opportunities.

I am sure you know far better than me Douglas, but is it?  Or is it just going through a bad patch like many politcal parties do.

I would have thought the idea of Independance still appealed to a fair few so the SNP would still have a following long term?

I wonder if the BBC will feature her Dr Cameron's Casebook (joke for the Oldies).

Never mind, just a week to go to the new independence referendum as promised by Wee Burney.I still havent had my polling card through the door yet.Strange.

@10.23.Yes they were nicknamed the Tartan Tories up here in Scotland when they were instrumental in bringing their friend Margaret Thatcher into power. And they have been bumping their gums dissing her and moaning about her ever since.

If you change parties, you should have to resign your seat, though that never seems to happen. It's further evidence of politicians being in it for themselves.

This is a typical example of the saying.

Out of the fat ..into the frying pan .

15:00 we were grateful for their help with Brexit though.

@15.21.Yes,3T, the English Tories were the main Brexiteers in England,up here in Scotland it was the SNPers who were the main Brexiteers.

// " To see somebody who claims to have supported Scottish independence cross the floor to the Conservative and Unionist Party betrays the fact that she probably never believed in the cause in the first place," //

Yep. A charlatan. Unlikely to get in as a Conservative so a move is just countdown to signing on next year ;-)

@20.09.Signing on.Yep,like a lot of the Tartan Tories(SNP)MPs and MSPs will be doing next year,Gromit.Bluddy nationalists,eh.
