Have woken up early to a bit of a puzzle! Went downstairs at 5.30am to get a cup of tea, to be met by a huge puddle of water (well it's clear so I assume water!) on the lounge floor! We have wooden flooring, and it's right in front of you as you walk in the room. To the left is a radiator but doesn't seem to be coming from that. There a beg enough puddle  that I've had to put down 3 tea towels to try and soak it up. It definitely wasn't there when I went to bed at gone midnight - I would have had to walk thru it to leave the room. 2nd thoughts was that maybe one of the cats has had a wee?? But apart from the fact that I've never ever seen them do that indoors there is far too big a puddle. God knows where it's come from - moments like this I'd love to have overnight CCTV lol!

Morning Smow. What is directly above the puddle, that's what would concern me

Did Mr Smow have a business conference last night and get home late? 🤔

The mind boggles 😊

Question Author

Morning guys. Above the puddle - our bedroom. MrSmow - went to bed same time as me lastnight lol, and where he still is.

Oh dear Smow, your day's off to a racing start! Good luck with solving the problem.

It possible one of the cats has a water infection, and would explain why the cat did it where they did, and if a cats got a UTI it would wee a lot more than normal.

Morning impatiens/renegadefm. Pretty sure one of cats don't have uti. It's all cleaned up now but gona keep eye this morn to see if it re-appears lol.

Are you sure it wasn't Mr Smow, or maybe yourself 🤔

For the last week I have been puzzling over who put a plastic pigeon in my apricot tree.  It's at eye level from the patio but out of arm's reach and too high from the base of the tree.

When I first saw it I thought it was real. Clapped my hands loudly, stared at it, shouted. It didn't blink, hasn't moved.

Yesterday I tried to knock it down and she's real.  Sat on her nest and being a good mother.  Hope to get photos of the squabs.  I've only seen baby pigeons once, funny looking things.  By the time they leave the nest they look like their parents.

Maybe it was someone who wants to steal your apricots when they ripen Baz, hmm, the plot thickens.

My apricot trees are a big disappointment this year. The blossom fell far too early and one has a bad case of rust.

Mother nature is playing games with my plants too Baz.

So much confusion for them.

We are having to buy more veg than ever, I'm glad I'm not a farmer

Morning.  That's weird, snow.  Does your husband have any idea what it might be?

Morning Smow and everyone. Hope you solve the puzzle of the puddle. Is the pipework near the radiator dry in case its a leaky valve?

Nowt much happening here, same as same as.

Have a happy day everyone

Question Author

Hi everyone again - MrSmow has been down and investigated too - he's absolutely baffled as well! Puddle is about a foot away from radiator. Nothing at all near pipes. IF, and IF it's one of the cats- well they must have the biggest bladder going! Im almost hope that the puddle appears again so that I can investigate further! LOL.

No pipes going across the ceiling, have you felt the ceiling?

So is the Pidgeon in Barry's tree real or a toy??

Question Author

Ceililng looks dry barry but getting step ladder out in a min to get up and feel it.

She's a real pigeon, Smow.  When I thought it was plastic I stared at it for ages, made noises and it never blinked or twitched
