If You Had A Twin, But Didn't Realise...

Damp, dark and wet here - a real miserable morning. Need to get central heating guys out - our hot water has become sooo hot that it is scalding, and same for radiators & heated towel rail in bathroom. I just leant on it for a sec accidentally with my arm lastnight and I've burnt it. Hopefully they will come out as soon as they can.
Nothing major to do today I don't think, just the usual everyday stuff. Just all seems a bit better with a glimpse of sunshine and blue sky doesn't it lol.
Have just been looking at a FB post on a local group of a woman who I know by name locally - she has posted a pic of her lounge yesterday with not only her Xmas tree up & lounge fully decorated, but with all presents for all 4 kids wrapped up & in piles all along one wall!! Must be 100 presents plus!! She's dead chuffed with herself but 99% of comment have told her she's barking mad!! It's only 14th November!! What happened to the fun & excitement!?

I do try to look in most days but energy levels are quite low so I don't start one as I cannot be sure I will reply to all. That and the fact that I have little to post about would make for a far less interesting read than yours. I hope you treated your burn promptly, they can be nasty. Have the best day you can.
So so Smow. I have a major op coming up and it is at a hospital that is not one of my local ones so I have thrown myself on the mercy of a friend who will give me house room throughout it all and my recovery period which will be lengthy! I probably will be there for the festive period which appalls me tbh as I don't want to impinge on her kindness. She has a large extended family and though I know them all they are a very social bunch. I shall feel very much out of place and a burden!
Morning Smow and everyone. In normal years we did Christmas preparations just a week or so before the big day. AS achild my parents put everything up on Christmas Eve while I was asleep so it was magical coming downstairs on Christmas morning. This year I am dreading Christmas.
Mr R has been locked out of his email account and he asked me for help. Needless to say I failed so he is going to ask a friend of his in the village
Morning everyone, fine here but nippy. Planning quite a lazy day with a trip to the library. Waiting for a letter which was posted on the 7th, and managed to catch the postman yesterday and ask him about deliveries as I had not seen a postman Monday or Tuesday. Apparently we do not have a house delivery every day of the week. I did not know this. Is it the same in other areas? It used to be daily deliveries except Sunday. Parcel deliveries are pretty good as they can be sent "tracked". I remember not so long ago posting a birthday card on a Sunday ( to be collected first thing Monday), for a birthday on Wednesday and it did not get there until Friday and it was only across town.
Oh choux, but that must be a weight off your mind that you can actually stay there? Friends like that are hard to find x
Hi Rosetta, I think I like the tree going up & decorations more than actual Xmas day lol! But never ever before December!
Yes calda, I believe that they have cut daily deliveries of post, but don't quote me. And when you do post things they are taking longer and longer....
