...donating money to UK political parties?

They might try and use their wealth to undermine our much-loved two party democratic system.

I don't know what the rules are, but I don't like the idea that foreign million/billionaires interfere in our domestic politics by financing UK political parties.

Yes but it's easily circumvented.

Apparently there is a ban but if you jump through the right hoops you can avoid it.

I'd normally agree Atheist, but when someone is willing to act as saviour to my nation's patriots I think that may be looked on as exceptional circumstances. We need to squash any anti-UK troublemakers.

I assume we are talking about Musk. He no doubt has a British company somewhere. He can give through that quite legally. Next!

//but I don't like the idea that foreign million/billionaires interfere in our domestic politics //

But no doubt happy when 2TK's labour sent over 100 people to the USA to interfere?

Buen's link shows permissible sources of funding two of which are

a UK-registered company which is incorporated in the UK and carries on business in the UK.

a UK-registered limited liability partnership (LLP) that carries on business in the UK.

Does anyone know if Musk would be covered by those?

How about Tesla Motors Limited or Tesla Engineering Ltd?

^^^ Elon Musk isn't listed as a director (or as a person 'with significant control') of any active UK limited company:

Interesting, Buen.

And?

The company can make the donation.

Where there is a will there is a way.

I see the left and the Tories are starting to panic, their cosy little arrangement between the two of them is in danger.

Of course the panic has set in even though Musk or Farage havent said anything.

Wonderful to see the apple cart turned over even at the mere suggestion.  Shows something is real wrong with our system.

Tesla Inc, of Austin, Texas, is shown as a 'person with significant control' of Tesla Motors Ltd:
https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/04384008/persons-with-significant-control

Elon Musk owns 13% of shares in Tesla Inc but is demanding an increased stake, of 25%, to continue building cars with Tesla.

How about Starlink Internet Services UK Limited then?

I would not be surprised if there are a bucket load of companies flaoting around to be honest.  It's how people at the top do things, limits liabilities etc.

If (and its really a big if) he chose to donate I am sure he has the lawyers and accountants bigger then Starmer or Badenoch to sort it.

But as I said I think its  abig if, more lilkely to provide advice on things like Data analysis coupled with aggressive targetting of voters and how to win them over.
