A long time ago,  in East London a group of young men thought it was funny to set light to Asian women's sari's as they walked along the street. One was in Ilford, and she apparently went up like a fireball taken to a burns unit but she died soon after. In the days before  cctv these scumbags were never caught, and for a long while you rarely saw a woman wearing a sari.  There was also a few instances of evil *** trying to set light to rough sleepers.  Sadly nothing surprises me any more
