Sorry for late replies -  Thank you Scorpiojo. Ginger Rogers certainly fits one of the 'Dancing Ladies'.  Ethel Barrymore certainly fits the letter count but I can't, as yet, see a pconnection to the 12 days of Christmas. 
Hi Mallyh  - the question is A song by English Electronic Band, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark.    3,2,3 (4,2,7).  I thought it was Joan of Arc ( Maid of Orleans)   but that would be (4,2,3).

Thanks Captain2. Yes, I'd already got Maid of Orleans. It was the first part I was asking for. I had Joan of Arc but the letter count was 3,2,3.
