On another thread Naomi insists that they have but won't discuss it any further and won't cite any sort of evidence so I thought I'd open it up for a wider discussion.

So what do you think and what is your supporting data?

Thanks.

To quote the Bible as evidence is as unconvincing as quoting Lord of the Rings - just someone's fertile imagination.

I was watching a programme last week about a site in Bolivia called Pumapunku and the ancient ruins there, how the ancients managed to carve these massive stones without modern tools defies belief.

"TTT, you are not 'debating'.  You don't 'debate'. " I am putting out my thoughts on the subject, in scientific subjects there is often nothing to debate.

"I'd hazard an educated (and I am educated) guess that you've never taken part in a reasoned academic 'debate' in your life. " - Oh dear, I won my university debate competition twice. On both occassions I had to argue for something I didn't even agree with.

"You just ride roughshod like a poor man's Alf Garnett over any ideas that don't suit your own narrow and limited perspective of the world and over anyone who disagrees with you. " - no I just goive irrefutable facts that make people feel silly so they lash out like this.

"You ask questions like this not because you seek intelligent discourse, but because you want to ridicule other people to show us all how very clever you (and probably you alone)  think you are - which is not clever.  " - I asked this because you were stone walling on another thread so I thought I would try and find out why people think aliens have visited in the past. I must admit I expected a more plausible suggestion than a bible story, hey ho, I suppose comming from someone who also believes in ghosts I should not be surprised.

"Furthermore, in telling me to ignore your posts after having asked me to comment, you are contradicting yourself." - well this post was not for you was it, you refused to give me evidence, I was seeking if from others. The Von Danikins stuff is slightly better than the bible approach but equally silly but at least other have a go.

Like so many naoimi, knowledge and intellect disturbs you so you must lash out rather than just ignore. On many threads you seem to announce your lack of either as a badge of honour.

Untwist the alans love.

TTT, you have just confirmed everything I said about your methods of 'debating'.

Yeah, Naomi. How many debating competitions have you won?

End of.

Question Author

10:33 you're giving me the pip now dougie! 😁

Atheist, debating 'competitions'?   I hope you're joking.

Question Author

anyway Naomi there is a new TWAU for you to get angry at.

Naomi, I was parodying the post at 10:41.

ynnafymmi, 10:41 Sat.  There are countless puzzles like that from various areas of the world.

I thought you might be, atheist.

But then again, none of those things rival a medieval cathedral. I personally find it difficult to understand how they managed it, but I don't thik that the answer is 'built by aliens'.

It is odd that a claimed winner of two university debate, "competitions", refuses to use his skills to enter into a debate with certain folk on AB in order to counter the views they express...

Yeah aliens with the tech to travel interstellar distances are well known for their rock carvings! Perlease!

Funny how they never left anything made out of unobtainium!

^That's what you call 'debating'. TTT.

Stop being thundering idiots everyone, and listen to TTT!!

He's given you the benefit of his great knowledge and understanding and still you persist with your foolish notions....

Honestly! It must be like casting pearls before swine.

Question Author

11:05 there is nothing to debate, there are more holes than swiss cheese, I just picked one.

TTT, you are not 'debating'.  You don't 'debate'.

Oh Gawd we are still on this.

Oh dear, I won my university debate competition twice. - with one liners like- "Oh God TOVI has risen!" ? It wasnt Scumbag College was it ( The Young Ones)?

TTT wil recollect that he used to refer to me as The Old Village idiot, until even the Editor deemed it preschool nonsense

( Along will Togo's M'sieur le PipPi - which got flushed darn the jarn.)

The ancients managed to carve these massive stones without modern tools defies belief.

frm the sixties (BBC): so they MUST have had stone softening solution

What did Ynni say to me a few days ago - "PP, have you taken your foo-foo mixture today?" (another regular gut buster from North of the Border - Gawd !)

No Ynni, I left some over for you, but you dont seem to need it today - ter daah !

TTT, rock carvings aren't attributed to aliens.

Stop being thundering idiots everyone, and listen to TTT!!

or just

Stop being thundering idiots everyone,

TTT as an intellectual exercise, could you try to make a case for Naomi's side of the argument? You did say that you in the two debates you didn't believe in you won both of them. If you managed to win over those who disagree with Naomi, you would really be demonstating your intellectual and oratorical prowess.
