A spin drier doesn't make the clothes perfectly dry.

We wouldn't be without our tumble drier. We would struggle to dry them as we get a lot of rain.

Her broken arm will mend.  Can she not get help for hanging the washing and other tasks that are very difficult to do one handed until she does recover?

These days, an extra drain/spin cycle on the washing machine will have the same effect as a spin dryer.  Wet, but not dripping wet so can be hanged on a rack indoors.

Get a tumble dryer.  I wouldn't be without mine.  I never hang laundry out.

Agree with above, spin dryer doesn't dry and things come out quite scrunched and need hanging out anyway. Tumble dryer will but they are quite expensive to run.Clothes still need to be put in and taken and hung with all these thngs though.  I've not really looked into it for myself but I've seen a lot of people raving about an electric warmed drying thing (almost like a tent) from Lakeland.

i have a vileda drying rack it extends and is high enough to hang duvet covers etc ,i leave it in the spare room with window on open lock or in the conservatory it dries things really well x

Vileda extra indoors ^^^^

A drying rack / airer would still be awkward to use with one arm, they aren't easy to put up so she would have to leave it in situ

You're right barry, in fact all of these solutions will be really hard with a broken arm. Everything will still need hanging and putting away. It actually needs someone else to do the washing temporarily.

And the 1001 things that it is very difficult to do one handed.

I am temporarily one armed, and I can tell you there is a whole load of stuff that you can't do with just one hand!

Is she coming home? She will need much more help when she 1st gets home if so

anybody advise please - am thinking of getting the above for sister but know nothing about them.  The only thing I did notice was for different spinners 3kg and the other 6kg.  Does this mean the load going into the spinner.  thanks

yes bednobs she got home about 5 weeks today and guess with the dreaful independence she has (on a zimmer frame).  She refused carers but is independent on certain friends (generally mine) to get these groceries.  She will have to realise we are not her carers.

Yes the kg is the weight for the dryer. Wet clothes weigh more. The spin dryer does not really dry the laundry though and might make the clothes more creased. A small tumble dryer mjght be better

Amazon have some tumble dryers for the same price as a spin dryer. Have a look to compare

Does she have a washing machine or does she wash everything and then use a spindryer?

Why not replace the washer with a washer/dryer, if she doesn't have the space for a separate dryer then this is the next best option in my opinion.

Would it not be better if she got a Tumble Drier?

I have a launderess do mine every other week.  Picks it up on a Monday and returns clean ironed and folded on Thursday. I pay by weight.  I googled my area and this came up and I had no idea there were such people offering this service.

Your sister would only need to use it until her arm is mended and will not have to spend a lot of money on equipment IF she can find someone.

I still feel you don't know what a spin drier is, even after reading the advice. It doesn't dry cothes, they still come out damp and needing to be hung.
