As usual in the public sector,  cut front line staff but leave the pen pushers alone.

First on the list to go should be all those working in diversity and climate change departments. They are totally pointless and a complete waste of money.

The Met waste a lot of money.  They  could save it easily if they ensured the core services where adhered to and stopped doing things like trawling the Internet for "hurty word".  

But they wont as they want to make a point.

Appreciate this is about the Met, but from a general point of view, why are these public organisations so profligate with other peoples money? You can bet your bottom dollar there are loads of non-jobs in the Met.

 

I was listening to the radio earlier and one of the topics was waste in the NHS. A serving nurse phoned in and said her trust has an Art Director who was employed to improve the patient "journey". I would suggest it is a safe bet that he or she (or whatever pronoun they identify with) is trousering north of £100k a year.
