Are alcohol and bad backs related?
Help!
I am unsure if I have a bad back or it is related to, shamingly, alcohol consumption.
If I have too much to drink and stay in bed hungover, the next day I seem to have a bad back at the bottom (just above my buttocks). Is this muscular or something more sinister...please don't reply if you are going to harp on about alcohol...I KNOW!!!!!!!!

If you reach out in front of you with your arms straight, put your hands in a fist shape, then slowly reach your fists around to your back and place them on either side of your spine, thats where your kindeys are roughly!
Help your kidneys and liver by drinking plenty of water the night before, and some warm water with lemon in the next morning!
hi mate, i suffer from back pain and have done for 7 years.
I used to drink alot of alcohol and was almost an alcoholic, i suddenly got a severe lower back pain over a period of 24 hours and i have had back troubles ever since which have kept me off full time work!!
i carried on drinking for about 4 years then over a period of probably 6 months to a year i started to notice i was becoming intollarant to alcohol, i was getting pulpertations in the mornings and breathing difficulties, then they started getting worse and worse to the extent that i must not touch alcohol now.
last time i had a sip of alcohol i ended up in an ambulance coz i was really struggling to breathe.
i dont know what it is, the doctors just say the only thing they can think of is that i am depressed but i think its more down to my back pain creating permenant tension in my body.
feel free to message me.

Wow, that's awful...I don't drink every day, just on Saturday's. BUT...I DO binge drink and the more I consume in one sitting the more my back hurts. Not sure if this is because the more I drink, the worse the hangover (obviously!) and the longer that i therefore lie in bed which may make it musculur?
How old are you, if you don't mind me asking?
